Getting to know Charlotte Seymour, Accurate Mechanical Services’ Service Administrator

Charlotte Seymour

In a recent interview, Charlotte told us about starting a new career with us, what a great decision it has been, and how working in the mechanical services sector is varied and developing all of the time.

Exploring Charlotte’s role at Accurate and how our customer service is second to none

Hi Charlotte, tell us a bit about yourself…

I am a service administrator for Accurate Mechanical Services and have recently completed by IOA
Level 2 Certificate in Principle of Business and Administration.

In my spare time, I like being with my family and going on nature walks with them.

I am most proud of my 2 children. They are my pride and joy.

How long have you worked for Accurate Mechanical Services?

I have worked for Accurate for just over a year. It has been an exciting career move as I was actually a hairdresser, in my previous job, but I fancied a change.

It’s been a very good one!

What does your day-to-day role involve?

I help with maintenance quotes and contracts for both new and existing customers.

I organise job sheets for our engineers, as well as booking in maintenance and reactive works.

I also send job sheets and invoices out to customers, following on from our visit. Plus, I take care of supplier invoices and purchase orders.

There are also many more responsibilities within my role…it’s really varied.

What do you like most about your job and working for Accurate?

I like being part of a team and helping out customers. This role gives you a sense of achievement no matter what your job is.

I like that we go above and beyond for our customers where possible. We are reliable and loyal and always take pride in our work.

Exploring key challenges and future opportunities in the mechanical services sector

What do you think are the key challenges in the industry?

One of the key challenges, as a whole in the industry, is keeping up with weather conditions, which are increasingly unpredictable.

This can impact our customers if their equipment isn’t maintained.

It is important to check the equipment is in working order, before a significant temperature change. Avoiding any unwelcome problems, where possible.

Where do you see the future of mechanical services?

The future lies with the many new technologies being developed and embracing these.

I see the company growing because of all the new technologies that are always coming out. I can see how they will really help the air conditioning industry in the future.

To finish, what is your one piece of advice for everyone?

Don’t stress the small stuff!
